Monteagle on The Buttlands.
Monteagle enjoys a fantastic location on The Buttlands, a Georgian square in the heart of Wells, within a short walk of all its amenities and the quay. It is only 20 metres from The Crown (to the left as you leave Monteagle) and 60 metres from The Globe Inn (to the right).

Wells Quay, focal point of the town.
Wells is a traditional, charming and attractive seaside town – a network of narrow streets, old alleys and yards, leading down to the quay (where a small fishing fleet is still active). Children go crab fishing from the quayside, where one of the oldest ships still afloat, The Albatross, is moored. The beach (with its multicoloured beach huts) and lifeboat house can be reached by a pleasant walk or via the miniature railway. Whether it is relaxation, walking, bird watching, watersports or a family holiday, Wells is difficult to beat.

Cley Mill.
The town is in a great position on the North Norfolk coast, being convenient for Hunstanton, Titchwell, Brancaster, Brancaster Staithe, the Burnhams, Holkham Hall to the west, and Stiffkey, Cley, Morston, Sheringham and Cromer to the east. Inland are the market towns of Fakenham and Holt.
